A Cal Poly SLO graduate is raising funds to publish her first children's book.

Jasmine Pickett is pursuing her dream of writing "Adventures with Jaz and Lulu: Chasing the Moon" based on her childhood and her love for unicycling.

Pickett is also a fitness trainer for children.

she's using the website 'Kickstarter' to share her book and raise funds to publish it.

Pickett says she hopes to write more children's books about her adventures with her unicycle.

"It's a lot of fun. I feel like as long as I ride the unicycle, there will be stories, so I'm hoping that this is just the first of a lifelong endeavor for me," Pickett said.

She hopes to raise $11,000 to publish 1,000 copies of her first book.
