Cal Poly students living on campus for the upcoming school year won’t be sharing rooms.
The university says due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the decision has been made to only house students in single rooms in all campus residence halls and apartments.
The CSU previously approved Cal Poly’s fall housing plan, which included reduced occupancy, but Cal Poly on Monday said it made the decision to reduce occupancy levels even more.
First year students will be moved out of double rooms and placed in single rooms in residence halls and shared apartments. The university says first-year students will be charged the single room rate.
Students with virtual schedules are being allowed to delay their start date in on-campus housing to January.
