UPDATE (7:06 p.m.): CalFire SLO crews were able to bring the stranded hiker up to the main trail with their rope rescue system.
The hiker is now being assessed for injuries and will be helped out of the Pirates Cove trail area.

ORIGINAL STORY: CalFire SLO is currently on scene of hikers reportedly stranded at Pirates Cove.
Officials say the hikers are 100 feet over the side and firefighters will have to use a rope rescue system to access them.
