17 Strong is raising money Saturday night to send people recovering from catastrophic diseases on their dream vacations.
The Celebration of Victory is the organization's annual fundraising event for victory trips.
This year, the sold out event is took place at Thousand Hills Ranch in Pismo Beach.
Guests were treated to live auctions, dinner and dancing.
Past recipients like Leslie Hedges, also attended.
Hedges went to Portugal a few months ago and hasn't stopped smiling since she got off the plane.
"You kind of don't realize how much cancer takes a toll on you, your emotions, your spirit, your mind, your body and then when you go on vacation and you come back and you realize" "Wow, I actually really needed that reset"", Hedges said.
17 Strong was created by Arroyo Grande native Ryan Teixeria who battled his way through sarcoma and leukemia.
He passed away in April of 2018 but his passion to help others dealing with life-threatening illnesses lives on through his non-profit.
