A California Highway Patrol officer suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 1 in the Big Sur area on Wednesday.
It happened at about 11 a.m. near Plaskett.
According to the CHP, the officer was responding to a fire when he came across a skateboarder in the road. The officer swerved to avoid the skateboarder and ended up rolling his vehicle several times.
A helicopter responded to airlift the officer out of the area.
The skateboarder was reportedly not hurt.
