The City of Atascadero's Recreation Division is encouraging the community to stay active and get outside for fresh air!
They have created a 10,000 step challenge to see if residents can take 10,000 steps in one day. The organization created a 30-day guide for beginners, intermediate and advanced walkers.
This is a 6-week, 10,000 Steps a Day Challenge that can be started at anytime.
To get started community members can downloadthe daily steps tracker and begin logging their steps in the walking journal. Once you complet the 6 weeks, turn in your walking journal with your name, phone number and/or email address. Once received the Recreation Division will send you a prize (based on availability).
