The City of San Luis Obispo is trying to get recognized as a bicycle friendly community, but they need residents help to make it happen.
San Luis Obispo has been designated a golden level bike community since 2007, but they are trying to level up to the platinum level. If they achieve this new title, they will become the 6th community in the nation to have the special recognition.
The League of American Bicyclist is in group who gives communities these designations. In order to give the city a new title they need to get a better understanding of local bicyclist experiences in the community.
