The annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in San Luis Obispo looks a little different this year due to COVID-19.

Instead of holding a group walk, the Alzheimer's Association Central Coast Chapter encouraged participants to walk as individuals or in small groups around the county.

"This year, Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is everywhere — on every sidewalk, track and trail," was posted on the organization's website.

The Alzheimer's Association also made a promise garden honoring people affected by Alzheimer's disease at the Creston Village Senior Living Facility in Paso Robles.

The organization has raised nearly $80,000 of its $190,000 goal so far this year.

Proceeds will go towards care, support and research of the Alzheimer's Association Central Coast Chapter.
