Congressman Salud Carbajal and public health officials from San Luis Obispo county and Santa Barbara county hosted an interactive town hall meeting focusing on COVID-19 on Aug. 13.
Health Officer/Public Health Director for San Luis Obispo County Dr. Penny Borenstein and Director of the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department Dr. Van Do-Reynoso provided the latest status of coronavirus in their counties.
They answered questions and concerns from participants about COVID-19, some of which include how contact tracing works and how to protect one's eyes.
They also asked what bills the Congressman is supporting and status on an economic relief package.
According to a press release, this is part of the "Connecting to Congress" initiative by the non-partisan Institute for Democratic Engagement & Accountability, so members can hear from their constituents.
