UPDATE (4:29 p.m.) - San Luis Obispo Police have identified the man who died when he was struck by a vehicle on Tank Farm Road as Micheal Hamlin, 52, of San Luis Obispo.

(3:53 a.m.) - A pedestrian was struck and killed along Tank Farm Road in San Luis Obispo Tuesday night, according to police.
San Luis Obispo police responded to the scene around 10:25 p.m. near South Higuera Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 52-year-old man in the roadway. He died from his injuries on scene.
His name is not being released until next of kin are notified.
The driver of the vehicle that struck him, a 76-year-old man, remained on scene and was cooperative with police. After an evaluation, police determined drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
The crash shut down Tank Farm Road as a traffic team investigated. It has since reopened.
