The deadline for nonprofits in Lompoc to apply for a chance to sell safe and sane fireworks is fast approaching.
The Lompoc Fire Department has been accepting applications from qualified, Lompoc-based nonprofits to be entered into this year's lottery.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 3.
Applications can be picked up at Fire Station 1 on South G Street.
Permits to sell safe and sane fireworks will be limited to six sale stands and locations in the City of Lompoc, according to officials.
Due to renovations at Lompoc High School's Huyck Stadium, the annual City of Lompoc fireworks show will not be taking place this year.
