The three parking lots in Downtown San Luis Obispo just got a colorful upgrade after a new public beautification project was completed.
The toll booths in each of the parking lots were decorated with art that matches the banners installed throughout Downtown this summer that represent different locales in the city and cultural aspects of the community. The art was designed and installed by Quality Tinting and Signs, a local creative firm.
The toll booth at 842 Palm St. was painted with the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, the booth at 919 Palm St. was covered with a mural of Ah Louis Store and the one at 871 Marsh St. was painted with the “Iron Road Pioneers” statue in Railroad Square, the Fremont Theatre and California Poppies, quail, and local peaks.
