The Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers' Market will continue at its usual time and location despite concerns over the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Bettina Swigger, CEO of Downtown SLO, said she is in continuous communication with the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department and has not been instructed to shut down the market's operation due to COVID-19.

Swigger also said the market has added three additional hand sanitizing pumps as a precaution for those in attendance.

According to Swigger, the market has not seen a decline in community members attending the market.

The Downtown SLO Farmers' Market takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday evenings on Higuera Street in Downtown San Luis Obispo.
