CAL FIRE SLO is working to extinguish a vegetation fire burning off Highway 101 and Highway 58 near Santa Margarita.
According to CHP, a vehicle on the side of the road caught fire and the fire spread to nearby vegetation around 4:20 p.m.
Traffic is impacted in the area as crews work to close northbound lanes of Highway 101 at Tassajara Creek Rd., according to the CHP.
