Downtown Santa Barbara is getting it's first cannabis dispensary.
It's called Coastal Dispensary and they held their grand opening on Thursday.
Local, regional and industry leaders showed up to celebrate the first premier luxury cannabis dispensary opening in downtown Santa Barbara.
"We wanted to make this one very welcoming to people who aren't familiar with cannabis,"says COO Malante Hayworth, "We didn't want them to feel like it was an illegal operation in a dungeon somewhere with a drug dealer. We want to feel like walking into a Nordstroms or an Apple store."
The owner says it has taken about two years of preparations to get everything ready for opening.
Coastal Dispensary hopes to open another store in Lompoc and San Luis Obispo by the end of the year.
