Five Leap Day babies born in San Luis Obispo County

San Luis Obispo County welcomed five tiny humans all born on Leap Day.

The first Leap Baby was born at 8:18 a.m. at Twin Cities Community Hospital and four, including twins, were born at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.

Cristina Torres Leon gave birth to the first Leap Baby, a boy, who weighed 6 lb. 11 oz. and is 19 in.

At Sierra Vista, Lauren and Mike Herrick had their baby girl, Frances, at 3:05 p.m. She weighed 6 lb. 15 oz. and is 20.5 in.

Fraternal twins, a girl and boy, were born at 3:58 p.m. and 4:04 p.m., respectively. The girl came in at 5 lb. 15 oz and measured 18 in. The boy weighed 6 lb. 4 oz and measured 18 in. Their parents are Jennifer and Aaron Hein.

Baby Charlotte was born at 6:01 p.m. to parents Jennifer and Ethan. Charlotte weighed 7 lb. 6 oz. and is 20 in.
