Four boys between the ages of 14 and 16 were arrested after police connected them to a commercial burglary in San Luis Obispo early Tuesday morning.
Police say they received a glass-break alarm at Laguna Smokes on Los Osos Valley Rd. at about 4:45 a.m.. Officers arriving at the scene reportedly spotted a white sedan leaving the area and followed it to the area of Madonna Rd. and Eto Circle, where police say four people abandoned the car and ran off.
According to police, two of the teens were quickly located and arrested and the other two turned themselves in later in the morning.
Police say stolen property from Laguna Smokes was found in the suspects' car, and the teens were also found to be in possession of two pellet guns.
Investigators are reportedly looking at additional items of evidence to determine if the boys are also responsible for vandalism that occurred late Monday night in downtown San Luis Obispo.
In that case, the windows of three businesses along Marsh Street were shot out with BBs or pellets and merchandise was stolen from Shoe Palace.
Witnesses told police that the suspects left the area in a white sedan which police believe was the same car the teens were driving when they were caught on Tuesday.
Police say two of the boys are from San Luis Obispo, one is from Atascadero, and the other is from Paso Robles. They were all booked into the Juvenile Services Center.
Police are investigating an additional case of vandalism at the San Luis Obispo City Parks and Recreation Department office in the 1300 block of Nipomo Street.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Detective Orozco at (805) 781-8035.
