Community members in need received free food, clothing and hygiene products in San Luis Obispo, Sunday afternoon.

The Food Not Bombs event took place at Mitchell Park.

Every Sunday at the park, the organization distributes essential supplies including all-you-can-eat healthy foods to people in need.

The event is free to everybody and community members interested in helping out can simply show up at the next event, next Sunday.

"There's plenty of food out there, and the idea is just to get out and meet our neighbors and share something," said Tim Jouet, Bookkeeper of Food Not Bombs.

Jouet says the organization has been distributing essential supplies to the San Luis Obispo community since 2018.
