Caltrans is closing northbound Highway 101 in Carpinteria overnight starting at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Crews will be resurfacing and striping the highway.
Motorists traveling northbound on 101 will be detoured off the highway at Bailard Ave. The detour continues to Carpinteria Ave., and motorists will re-enter the highway at Santa Monica Rd.
The closure will wrap up at 5 a.m. on Thursday.
Prior to the full closure at 10 p.m., the northbound right lane and the northbound on-ramp of Highway 101 at Casitas Pass Rd. will close starting at 8 p.m.
