Some businesses in Goleta were told to shelter in place due to a gas leak discovered Tuesday morning.
The call came in at about 10:35 a.m. for the leak at 6865 Hollister Ave., the old Kmart building that will eventually become Target.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says crews working in the area reported the gas leak inside the building.
The building was evacuated and businesses in the area were told to shelter in place.
As of noon, fire officials were waiting for the gas company to arrive and shut off the gas.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say they're still investigating the cause of the leak.
