The 33rd annual Vitalant Gift of Life blood drive kicks off Monday on the Central Coast.
Vitalant says the holiday season is a challenging time to collect blood because people are busy, traveling and this is also cold and flu season.
Donors can visit the San Luis Obispo Donation Center at 4119 Broad St. #100 or the Santa Maria Donation Center at 1770 S. Broadway.
Bloodmobiles will also be located at the Paso Robles Walmart from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 19, 23, 26, 27, 28, and 31.
Blood donors will receive a $10 certificate to F. McLintocks Saloon and a $10 movie pass.
