The Guadalupe School District received a large anonymous donation to help fund the youth sports programs.

$40,000 was donated and this will help fund the youth sports programs for one year.

The district says around 100 kids are signed up in about 10 teams for their soccer season, which ends in November.

There are also 100 kids signed up for basketball teams along with 150 kids who signed up for flag football.

"We had a lot more enthusiasm from the parents, so we're really excited," says Roberto Rodriquez, COO of Boys and Girls CLub mid Central Coast, "we had some Saturday games where we've had a really good turnout with parents and parent participation has been really helpful."

The money will be used to pay for the uniforms, staffing and equipment.
