UPDATE (Fri., May 20, 2022) - Authorities say the hiker later died after being rescued. He has been identified as Jake Parks, 18, of Santa Barbara.

(Sat., May 14, 2022) - First responders were called at around 4 pm to Tunnel Trailhead in Santa Barbara to rescue a hiker suffering a heat-related emergency.
Santa Barbara County Fire and Santa Barbara City Fire responded to the scene.
A man was found approximately one to two miles up from Tunnel Trailhead.
Crews transported the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
