Hundreds participate in annual 'Walk to End Alzheimer's' in San Luis Obispo

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — More than 500 people participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in San Luis Obispo, Saturday.

The participants raised more than $140,000 for the Alzheimer's Association, which will help serve more people with dementia, their caregivers and other community members through outreach, education and research.

After the walk, participants enjoyed music, food and stories from a guest speaker.

In San Luis Obispo County, there are nearly 10,000 people who live with dementia.
