A closure of Highway 1 near Lompoc will be lifted Friday afternoon.
The work is closing the highway between Highway 101 in Las Cruces and Highway 246 near Lompoc between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday.
Crews are working to install a bridge girder as part of the Salsipuedes Creek Bridge replacement project, which includes a retaining wall and fish passage.
The $5 million project is expected to be complete in winter 2021.
