The NAACP San Luis Obispo County hosted an interfaith action rally on Oct. 1 outside the SLO County Courthouse.
According to the press release, this event was to bring together different faith leaders of diverse backgrounds and discuss the importance of justice for all.
Various religious leaders and NAACP members spoke, focusing on the theme of “love did it all,” along with live presentations throughout the rally.
"There is only one earth; one person; one faith and one life… we the people of faith are standing together with love in our hearts for Peace and Justice," Reverend Stephen Vines, President of the NAACP San Luis Obispo County, said in the press release.
People were also able to register to vote at the rally.
The group’s first rally in the series was held on June 4. Since then, the group said they’ve hosted different events to engage the community and discuss systemic racism.
