Business owners are excited about the reopening of the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.
The mall has been closed since the afternoon of July 13 when indoor operations at malls, restaurants and more where ordered to close once again due a rise in COVID-19 cases throughout the state.
The mall reopened at 25 percent capacity Thursday at 11 a.m.
"We've been closed for quite some time, got shut down out of nowhere again, and as much as I understand the reasoning, it's nice to be open again,” said Kenneth Guge, owner of Leisure Times Games.
Guge’s business is one of many to reopen, but some remain closed.
A few new stores are getting ready to open.
Red Robin, Gina’s Piece of Cake and Macy’s were able to remain open with curbside pickup.
