People have spotted ghosts, zombies and haunted pumpkins around several San Luis Obispo City parks.

Well, it's paper cut-outs of these creatures that families and kids are finding as part of The San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department's Ghostly Ghoul Hunt.

Signs for the kid-friendly scavenger hunt are displayed around the following city parks:

  • Throop Park
  • De Vaul Park
  • Meadow Park
  • Islay Park

Six-year-old Cora Andredetz said she had a successful search.

"We were walking across the bridge and we saw two ghosts and then Grace spotted a cat and then I spotted a zombie," said Andredetz.

The Parks and Recreation Department employees said the Ghostly Ghoul Hunt will continue through November 2nd.
