A 'giant-mini' library has popped up on a corner in Atascadero.

Kathy Rinkenberger is the owner of this free library.

She says the idea came to her while she was doing spring cleaning.

As soon as the pandemic hit, she says she cleared her cupboards of old books and puzzles.

She set them up outside of her home and soon enough the rest of the community joined in donating puzzles and tons of books.

“It's so exciting to know that we've gone through thousands of books in the children's area, which means instead of sitting home on media they've been reading and that feels really good,” said Rinkenberger.

The sharing shed is on the corner of Santa Lucia and Santa Ana roads in Atascadero.
