A Central Coast winemaker is invited to judge the 20th annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Jac Jacobs is a winemaker for Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards in San Luis Obispo. He'll be one of two Central Coast winemakers judging the competition.

The 2020 SFCWC will have about 6,700 wine entries from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, making it the largest wine competition in North America.

They have more than 65 professional wine judges representing media, trade, wine making, education, restaurant and hospitality industries.

"With over 37 years on the job, for those of you like us, the first words out of your mouth will be ‘What took them so long?' Congrats Jac," said Laurie Kelsey, general manger and co-owner of Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards.

Awards will be posted at 3 p.m. on January 10.
