Lompoc tattoo shop holding fundraiser to support local police department

Fortified tattoo in Lompoc is holding a fundraiser Friday to help support the police department.

The business will have a candy machine that holds different types of tattoo's.

For $80, guests can take a chance of getting a random design made up of characters such as Donald duck or Porky Pig.

If customers want to go for a different design it's $20 to spin again.

"I know the budget is a big concern right now for the town and trying to fund everything for our police department," says Jamison Stagaard, owner of Fortified Tattoo Co. "I know they're under staffed and crime has risen since that happened so I felt like it might be a good way to try to do our part to help out."

Stagaard says he hopes this encourages other local businesses to help raise money.

The event begins at 12 p.m. and last until 8 p.m.

All proceeds raised will go to the Lompoc Police Department.

Fortified Tattoo is located at 135 N. H. Street.
