Vandenberg Air Force Base officially launched an unarmed Minuteman III Intercontinental ballistic missile at 12:27 a.m. on Oct. 29.
Air Force Global Strike Command says the launch is a test to determine the weapon system's effectiveness, readiness, and accuracy.
It was postponed on Wednesday, Oct. 28 due to adverse weather conditions at the target area downrange.
The most recent Minuteman III launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base was in the beginning of September.
