A local non-profit is gifting some people with cars they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford.
The Morro Bay Lions Club donated its 27th car to a community member in need on Saturday as part of its Car-Give-Away Program.
The organization allows people with unused cars to donate them to the club's car giveaway program for an IRS guided tax write-off.
With the help of generous community members, the club has been able to give "a car a quarter" to a person in need in San Luis Obispo County.
The non-profit service organization has gifted cars to community members in need for the past five years
The non-profit service club is part of the Lions Club International organization.
