Children who spent their first days of life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) reunited with their medical caregivers.
On Saturday, Marian Regional Medical Center hosted more than 300 kids and their families at the sixth annual NICU Graduation Celebration at their Santa Maria campus.
The event celebrates the brave beginnings of tiny humans, some who weighed less than three pounds, and the neonatologists, nurses and volunteers who cared for them.
Former patients and their families could get their face painted, decorate pumpkins and play games for prizes at the hospital's event.
Marian’s 21-bed, Community (Level III) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the most sophisticated and technologically-advanced Unit in the region, providing exception care to infants.
