Two Nipomo residents say they suffered significant thefts from their avocado orchards this week.
One grower who has 100 trees told KSBY most of her avocados, except for those out of reach at the top of the trees, were stolen.
The theft was discovered Wednesday and reported to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office says it is not uncommon for there to be avocado thefts at this time of year during the peak of the season.
The growers told KSBY they wanted to get the word out to warn others of the thefts.
