The San Luis Obispo City Fire Department responded to a single vehicle traffic collision on southbound Hwy 101 early Saturday morning.
The collision happened around 2:15 a.m. near the Monterey off-ramp.
SLO City Fire said multiple trucks responded to the scene.
Medics found one patient with major injuries who was treated at scene.
Crews added that the person was transported to a local trauma center.
