The Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach is bringing back the popular preschool program, Mommies and Guppies but moms are not the only ones invited, fathers, grandparents and caregivers are welcome too attend too.

Children five years old and younger are welcome to attend the monthly event that goes from October to May.

The program is designed so that preschoolers and adults can explore the aquarium together. It is held when the aquarium is closed to the public so that the adults and toddlers can enjoy up-close encounters with sea creatures like sea stars and urchins uninterrupted. Each month there will be a different educational theme for the kids to enjoy.

Mommies and Guppies kicks off Monday, Oct. 7 and will continue on the first Monday of every month through May from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

It costs $6 to attend the program, but a season pass is available for $40 and Central Coast Aquarium members can get a discount.
