The Paso Robles Pioneer Day Committee announced Thursday that it is canceling this year's Pioneer Day Parade.
The parade was scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 10.
"We take very seriously the health and welfare of our supporters, participants, Committee Members and Board. Due to the current State mandates on gatherings, we determined this would be in the best interest of all parties involved," the committee said in a Facebook post.
This would have been the celebration's 90th year.
Organizers say they are beginning to plan for next year's event, which is now scheduled for October 9, 2021.
