San Luis Obispo police arrested one person on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint Friday night in San Luis Obispo.
In a press release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the DUI/Driver's License checkpoint took place on the 500 block of Higuera Street from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Out of 534 vehicles, San Luis Obispo police officers issued three citations for license-related violations and arrested one DUI suspect, according to the press release.
Officials say drivers caught driving under the influence can expect jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension as well as other expenses.
