A meeting to provide animals owners with information on what to do in the case of a power shutoff is happening this weekend.
The Horse Emergency Evacuation Team (HEET) of San Luis Obispo County is teaming up with PG&E for the event Saturday.
It’s designed to give information on impacts in San Luis Obispo County and preparations horse and animal owners can do to stay safe during a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS).
While San Luis Obispo County has not seen shutoffs yet this year, many people in Northern California were in the dark for days last week and Southern California Edison has announced the possibility of shutoffs in a portion of Santa Barbara County Friday.
Saturday’s meeting is happening at PG&E’s Energy Education Center, 6588 Ontario Rd. in San Luis Obispo from 10 to 11 a.m.
