Santa Maria Police are investigating reports of rumors that a shooting incident occurred at Marian Regional Medical Center.
Police say the report came in at around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, an individual posted on their social media that a shooting incident occurred at Marian Regional Medical Center.
Santa Maria Police said the shooting incident did not occur. Marian Regional Medical Center posted on social media addressing the reports and state, "all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and visitors are safe."
Santa Maria Police are investigating the individual who may have started the rumor.
