Police responded to a fight at Paso Robles High School during lunch on Wednesday.
In a post on the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District's Facebook page, district officials say a large crowd of students gathered to watch, film and verbally engage in the fight by yelling at other students, staff and police.
School staff and authorities reportedly broke up the fight and secured the campus.
Police say no one was hurt.
School district officials say an investigation is underway and there are early indications that racial comments may have played a role in the fight.
They say extra law enforcement and supervisory staff will be on site for the rest of the week.
