From January 2 to 7, San Luis Obispo County State Parks will see several prescribed burns.
Starting as early as 7 a.m., Morro Bay, Montana De Oro (Los Osos) and Hearst San Simeon State Parks will have brush piles, standing dead trees and more burned to reduce the threat of wildfires, according to a California State Parks press release.
California State Parks will be working with the Air Pollution Control District, Morro Bay Fire Department and Cal Fire for the prescribed burns.
All prescribed burns should be out by 5 p.m., according to a California State Parks press release.
