California State Parks plans to conduct pile burns at Montana de Oro and Morro Bay state parks this week.
CA State Parks is partnering with Air Pollution Control District, the Morro Bay Fire Department, and CalFire to help conduct the burns.
The burns will take place between Tuesday March 24, and Tuesday March 31 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The pile burns happening in Morro Bay State parks will be located on the Wildland-Urban Interface between Ridgeway Street and Balboa Street. Burn piles in Montana de Oro State park wil be located near Camp KEEP and the environmental camp facilities.
Fire crews will be burning approximately 80 brush piles as part of fuel reduction, forest management, and restoration projects.
