A new public art installation is on display at Pardall Garden in Isla Vista.

According to the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts & Culture, the art piece titled "Runaway" was designed by Greg Corso and Molly Hunker as a commission by the Museum of Contemporary Art-Santa Barbara.

Third District Supervisor Joan Hartmann lauded the exhibition, saying, “Public art adds enormous value and richness to the cultural, aesthetic, and economic vitality of communities. I am thrilled that this installation will help to foster a sense of community pride, a sense of belonging, and enhance the quality of life for Isla Vistans with creativity and artistic expression.”

"Runaway" has popped up around the county since 2017. It will remain at Pardall Garden until May 2021.
