The Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero welcomed its newest addition: a baby red-flanked duiker.

The baby duiker was born on Jan. 22. Both baby and mom are doing well, according to a press release from zoo officials.

While the baby has yet to made its public debut, zookeepers say it will happen "very soon."

The duiker is the seventh baby born at the zoo, according to the press release.

"Although the International Union of Conservation of Nature classifies this species as 'Least Concern,' their populations in the wild are quickly declining," said zoo officials.

To see the baby duiker when she is ready to make her first public appearance, you can visit the Charles Paddock Zoo located at 9100 Morro Road in Atascadero.
