A portion of Highway 246 in Lompoc will be closed this week for resurfacing.
The highway from Sweeney Road to Mission Gate Road is set to be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Tuesday and Wednesday while grinding and paving work is underway.
Drivers can use Purisima Road as a detour into Lompoc. Those heading toward Buellton can detour to Highway 1 and then onto Purisima Road to get around the closure.
