The Rotary Club of Atascadero is helping keep Atascadero Lake maintained for people to use and enjoy in the future.
Rotary's Don Giessinger presented a $1000 check to Friends of Atascadero Lake Thursday afternoon.
The Friends of Atascadero Lake rely on donations to keep the lake clean and healthy.
The president of the group said this money will go toward maintaining the new pump that runs 24 hours a day to keep water flowing through the lake.
"I bring my dog here everyday and enjoy it like other people who live here and come here. That's our mission. Our mission is to keep the lake in good condition with all the projects we have and maintain the water and the water quality and so far we've been very successful at that," said Bob Edmonds, president of Friends of Atascadero Lake.
The Atascadero Lake has seen visitor numbers increase since the pandemic began.
It's a place where locals come to exercise, fish and enjoy the outdoors.
