Community members gathered Sunday morning at Lake Santa Margarita to participate in the second annual Run 4 Bitti and Brynn.

The 10-km race serves primarily as a fundraiser for the Run 4 Bitti and Brynn Foundation, a non-profit established by Shari and Warren Frace.

Warren says the funds raised from the run will be used for scholarships for local high schools, a shoe donation program for student-athletes in need and a community connectivity program in which people paint rocks with uplifting messages and place them around their communities.

Warren says Brittni and Brynn were sisters, best friends and distance runners, which inspired the creation of the fun run.

"We really wanted to create an event that reflected what they were all about, and that's really what this is that you see today. This is really who Brynn and Brittni were," said Warren.
