A family of five is okay after getting stuck in a hotel elevator for nearly an hour.
Around 2:20 p.m. Saturday, San Luis Obispo City firefighters responded to reports of five people stuck in an elevator at the La Quinta Inn on Monterey St.
The family, consisting of three kids ages 18 months to 13-years-old and their parents, were stuck between the 2nd and 3rd floor, according to officials.
Fire crews tried to reset the elevator, but were unsuccessful.
They then attempted to "pick" the elevator door and were able to get the family out safely.
The family was shaken up, but uninjured and there was no damage to the elevator.
